Why warning - ignoring option PermSize?




When you face warning - ignoring option PermSize?
If you are using Java 8 and you are using vm para -XX:PermSize then you will face it.
But why?
Because permgen space have been removed from java 8.

Example 1 when will see warning - ignoring option PermSize >
Pass vm vara -XX:PermSize to java program through cmd.
E:\>java -XX:PermSize=1g MyJavaProgram
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option PermSize=1g; support was removed in 8.0
This is my first Java Program


Example2 when will see warning - ignoring option PermSize >
Pass vm vara -XX:MaxPermSize to java program through cmd.

E:\>java -XX:MaxPermSize=512m MyJavaProgram
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=512m; support was removed in 8.0
